A sustainable fashion show and sale is being held by Emmaus Mossley

Emmaus Mossley, a homelessness charity, is organizing a sustainable fashion event to promote eco-friendly alternatives to fast fashion, reported Manchester Wire.

Reuse and sustainable fashion for everyone will be highlighted at the Emmaus Sustainable Fashion Show & Sale on Thursday, May 23.

There will be a sale on all men's, women's, and children's apparel, as well as shoes and accessories, after the event. The catwalk parade will feature high-quality pre-owned designer clothing in all shapes and sizes.

Emmaus Mossley offers a place to live, company, specialized support, and employment opportunities to those who have been homeless. The event will be held at the sizable Secondhand Superstore owned by the charity, which offers a vast selection of vintage, upcycled, books, music, fashion, home goods, and furniture.

Emmaus Mossley's retail manager, Hazel Hodkinson, stated: "We buy more clothes per person in the UK than any other country in Europe." While fast fashion is still a major problem, more and more individuals are beginning to realize the advantages of economical and secondhand buying.

"At Emmaus, we get a lot of contributions of high-quality apparel, and we want to show them off to the fullest in order to inspire more people to spend more responsibly. Building on the popularity of the previous year's charity fashion event, our Emmaus Sustainable Fashion Show & Sale will collect funds for the Emmaus Mossley charity.

Limited tickets are available for the event, costing £3, and may be purchased in advance from the Secondhand Superstore's ground floor main desk. Further details are available on the Emmaus Mossley website./BGNES
