Archive Promotes Sustainable Fashion for the "Second Hand September" Campaign With Leading Brands

The circularity platform Archive announced that nearly two dozen well-known brands are taking part in the "Second Hand September" campaign, which was started by Oxfam, a British charity. According to the company, the campaign "encourages consumers to give clothes a longer life" by highlighting the advantages of purchasing pre-owned items.

A number of well-known brands are among them: Diane Von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta, Maje, M.M. LaFleur, Hobo, Dr. Martens, and The North Face. "Consumers are encouraged to embrace sustainability by purchasing pre-owned items during a month when the fashion industry has historically focused on showcasing only new products on the runways," according to Archive, about Second Hand September.

The cofounder and CEO of Archive, Emily Gittins, expressed gratitude to the brands that took part and stated that the increase in participation "reflects a growing commitment to minimizing waste and landfill accrual in the fashion industry." Throughout this month-long activation and the rest of the year, we are honored to collaborate with these progressive fashion brands to increase consumer access to and desire for used goods."
In a statement, the company stated that it, along with its brand partners, is actively striving to lessen the environmental impacts of the fashion industry and to persuade consumers to adopt a more circular fashion model, which prioritizes extending the lifecycle of clothing through resale, reuse, and recycling. Brands taking part in the campaign are hosting live panel discussions, styling events, and in-store and online activations and promotions.
According to Archive, a lot of brands are doing online sales, promotions, and marketing campaigns. The company stated that participating brands "will also share special content on their social channels under the #SecondHandSeptember hashtag." "Participating brands are committed to raising awareness about the importance of secondhand fashion and making it simple, convenient, and enjoyable for consumers to extend the useful lives of pre-loved items and make more sustainable choices," the statement reads.

Oxfam, on the other hand, has developed a unique campaign website that provides information about the program, its advantages, and how to become involved. The nonprofit also maintains a blog with posts on how-tos like "Upgrade a Classic White Shirt With Ruffles" and "How to Darn a Hole in Your Clothes."

Felicity Jones lists her favorite thrift stores in a single post. "Berwick Street is where I love to shop vintage," Jones remarked. I have been visiting its incredible vintage stores for a very long time. Chiswick and Marylebone High Street are both excellent. You can be sure to find something incredible among all those locations.
