Celine Dion talks about her outfit at the Grammy Awards

Celine Dion opens up about her fashion choices following her appearance at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
During a recent interview with Vogue for their "Life in Looks" series, the 56-year-old Canadian pop star looked back on her style over the years and opened up about the mustard-colored Valentino coat she wore to the awards show.
"It was very nerve-wracking, but also a great honor," she told the publication of her surprise appearance at the Grammy Awards in February. "That magic. That excitement. To see the fans, to see the crowd. To see show business again."
For the five-time Grammy winner (who was styled by celebrity stylist Lou Roach for the evening), the coat served not only a stylish purpose, but also an emotional one—Dion told Vogue that she felt better when she had something to wear caught as he walks onto the stage.
The singer then broke out with her 2019 song "Imperfections."
Her appearance on stage at the ceremony was one of Dion's few public appearances in the past few years since she was diagnosed with the rare and incurable neurological disorder Stiffers Syndrome (SPS) in 2022. She stepped out at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena to present Album of the Year - an award she first won 27 years ago - with her son, 23-year-old René-Charles Angelil, accompanying her to a standing ovation by the star-studded audience.
"It took a lot, a lot out of me. But my son, René Charles, came and gave me his support. And to present the award - for album of the year - to Taylor Swift - it was an honor because she's at her peak and I'm the one which gives it to her. But it's always very, very touching when you get a standing ovation," Dion added.
A source previously told People how much Dion's appearance at the Grammys had been planned.
"It was an amazing night for her. She's doing well and the hope is that she can continue to do more things and ease back into life," the source said.
"Everyone was stopping her. She had a great moment with Oprah and sang with Stevie Wonder. They were just having fun," the source says.
Dion also recently spoke with Vogue France for a cover story in which she discussed how her style has evolved over her decade-long career, as she donned the likes of a white Jacquemus leather trench coat, a Schiaparelli blouse, and a giant pink Alaïa wool coat.
"I wouldn't say that I collaborate with designers, as that would be very pretentious of me. On the other hand, I can say that my whole life my mother has mended my tights, sweaters, coats and gloves, all my trifles for the winter. I was very lucky because I had 13 siblings and I got everyone's handmade clothes," said the star.
"After my first English-language album, I was able to buy designer clothes and started reading fashion magazines," she continues, discussing the early years of her career after releasing her first English-language album, Unison, in 1990. "I treated myself to a Lagerfeld jacket the same way people treat themselves to diamonds."
Elsewhere in the interview, Dion talks about her treatment for SPS, two years after she first announced her diagnosis.
"I have not beaten the disease as it is still in me and always will be. I hope we find a miracle, a way to cure it through scientific research, but for now I have to learn to live with it. 5 days a week doing sports, physical and vocal therapy.Working on my toes, my knees, my fingers, my singing, my voice... Now I have to learn to live with it and stop doubting myself si", concluded Dion./BGNES
