Chester is set to become a leading fashion hub as it prepares to host the Porsche Centre Chester Cheshire Fashion Week 2024 this summer.
The theme of the event, which is scheduled for June 13–15, will be sustainable fashion.
This creative event incorporates Cheshire's high street trends while showcasing Chester as a distinctive fashion destination.
Porsche Automotive, located at Porsche Centre Chester, is the event sponsor. The company is working hard to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.
The event, which takes place at various locations, including Chester Cathedral and the Abode Hotel Chester, aims to draw attention to how important sustainable fashion practices are to this year's designs.
For this event, a number of firms are collaborating, such as Abode Hotels Chester, Sintillate Talent, and Cheshire College South and West fashion retail and fashion design.
Several international designers, including Original Ireland, Ololade Atelier, Shawler Couture, Elie Bahar Fashion Designer, Misty Couture, and Doyenne The Label, will also be present.
"Cheshire Fashion Week positions Chester as a fashion destination to a global audience by hosting the biggest fashion week in the north outside of London Fashion Week," stated Claire Namukolo Raven, director of Cheshire Fashion Week.Although this has never been done before, the city gains from tourists each year.
"We attract national fashion enthusiasts and international talent annually, bringing London and other UK cities to our lovely city Chester, benefiting the North's fashion scene."
Ms. Namukolo Raven added that the event's goals this year are to promote sustainable fashion trends and help out neighborhood businesses.
"This year, as part of this year's sustainable theme, visitors from Ireland, Nigeria, and the United States are expected to visit Chester," she continued.
"The event will promote neighborhood businesses while showcasing the newest trends in sustainable fashion.
As a sponsor, Porsche Center Chester displays their dedication to sustainability.
"Since our launch in 2019, our efforts to establish Cheshire as a premier fashion destination and contribute to 'The One City Plan' to boost Chester's retail, hospitality, and tourism sectors have shown positive results."
This year's event will feature the first-ever Fashion Week Awards UK.
The goal of this esteemed event is to honor exceptional talent in the fashion and creative industries.
Chester's Lord Mayor will be present during the function. /BGNES
