CNMI announces the 2024 Sustainable Fashion Awards winners


Last night, at Italy's Teatro alla Scala, the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) held its annual Sustainable Fashion Awards ceremony. Ten awards were given to recipients who were recognized for their dedication to innovation, the circular economy, and craftsmanship, among other things.

The 1,000 guests attended the event, which was organized in association with the United Nations ITC Agency's Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI) and supported by the City of Milan. A jury consisting of 10 members had previously chosen the winners.

Among these, the Italian clothing company Moncler was recognized with the SFA Education of Excellence Award for its Moncler Academy for Technical Excellence (MATE), and Dirt Charity was given the SFA Climate Action Award for working with Demeter International to develop ten new fashion material certifications.

Renzo Rosso, the president of Diesel, was present to accept the Ellen MacArthur Foundation Award for Circular Economy, which honored the company's expansion of its circular business models and product redesign.

Other victors were;
Zazi Vintage received the SFA Diversity and Inclusion Award for "crafting sustainable luxury and heritage."
The Gucci "pathways to autonomy against gender-based violence" received the SFA Human Capital & Social Impact Award.
The Lenzing Group received the SFA Biodiversity & Water Award for "promoting glacial preservation through circular textiles."
Golden Goose and Yatay B won the SFA Groundbreaker Award for their "vision for circular luxury."
Mehdi Benabadji received the SFA Craft and Artisanship Award for "embracing the art of slow luxury in fashion."
The Bicester Collection Award: High-end label for up-and-coming designers "Crafting sustainable luxury with Peruvian heritage" is the motto of Escvdo.
