Eco-Friendly Fashion: Sequinova's Sustainable Approach

Sustainability and the fashion industry seem to be incompatible, but Sequinova's biodegradable sequins provide a more environmentally friendly option to conventional fashion.

The fashion business has a significant negative impact on waste and pollution, which is frequently demonstrated by the clogged landfills and dirty beaches. 10% of carbon emissions worldwide are attributed to the fashion industry, which is equal to the whole of the European Union.

Remarkably, 85% of all textiles—many of which are non-biodegradable—end up in landfills each year.

Sequins are the most ostentatious and unsustainable of these materials, reported Sustainability Magazine.

Sequins are environmentally hazardous throughout the whole production process since they are made from feedstocks generated from fossil fuels, which are often highly polluting, energy-intensive, and have significant ecological effects.

Cleaning clothing made of plastic adds to the amount of microplastic that is present in marine ecosystems. This can lead to marine creatures mistaking these glittering particles for food, ingesting them, and experiencing negative effects—including perhaps making their way into our food chain.

As sequins become more and more fashionable in today's market, the sustainability problem gets worse.
