Exhibition highlights eco-friendly bridal fashion options

Vimonisha Exhibitions and Events has created a special event to honor World Earth Day (April 22) that highlights the importance of sustainability. Since "Planet vs. Plastic" is the day's global theme, they have teamed up with Adaia Diamonds and Drapery to combine sustainability with fashion in order to do their part to save Mother Earth, reported dtnext.

Vimonisha Events was started by Vimal Shivdasani and Monisha Gidwani, mother and daughter, with the goal of bringing high-end and jewelry businesses to the city.
"We wanted to focus on sustainability for this year's World Earth Day, which is the need of the hour," says Monisha, who is also coordinating the event, in an interview with DT Next about the exhibition. We've never worked together with the two brands before.

The upcoming wedding season is a significant factor in the exhibition's curation. Experts claim that for the past several years, the wedding business has seen an increase in the sustainable fashion trend. She continues, "This exhibition is for brides who want to choose more environmentally friendly options for their wedding."

The Adaia Diamonds were founded by Darshana Balagopal, who embodied a dedication to innovation based on skillful craftsmanship and classic style. Drapery honors tradition by fusing innovation and legacy to produce striking, sophisticated designs. The company combines history with technology by investing in its weavers.

At the occasion, some 100 pieces from both brands will be on display./BGNES
