Five years later, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is back

Through social media, Victoria's Secret declared the return of their renowned fashion show, a significant occasion that had been postponed until this year due to declining sales and low viewership in 2019. They had previously attracted over 12 million spectators, but their final catwalk appearance was in 2018, when they barely received 3.27 million views, reported Marca.

The company shared the following response on social media via model Candice Swanepoel: "We've seen the comments and we've heard you. The return of Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will have all of your favorite elements—glamour, catwalk, wings, musical performance, and more—as well as reflect who we are today! Watch this space—from this point on, it just becomes more iconic".

Furthermore, the supermodel from South Africa posed wearing a black T-shirt with the words "We are back" printed in capital letters. The goal of this comeback is to enhance the brand's reputation, which has declined recently.

In recent years, debates have come up again. After serving as his counselor for a while, Les Wexner, the creator of Victoria's Secret, was connected to Jeffrey Epstein. The sexualization of the models and the dearth of diversity have also long been major points of contention.

Due to all these factors, the brand peaked twenty years ago, so the decline that occurred five years ago—when sales fell precipitously—was very apparent. With a 40% decline on Wall Street, the L Bands group took a serious hit. Nonetheless, it appears that things are gradually getting better thanks to a shift in the company's mindset and the significant news of the popular Victoria's Secret Fashion Show's return./BGNES
