From September 3 to 7, Seoul Fashion Week will include a sustainability theme

Beginning on September 3 and ending on September 7, Seoul Fashion Week will feature a number of events with a sustainable fashion focus, reported Korea JoongAng Daily.

Programs pertaining to the subject of sustainability will be showcased at fashion week this year by organizations including Hyosung TNC, Jeju Samdasoo, and the fashion label PARTsPARTs.

This year's runway will include Jeju Samdasoo's creations in collaboration with designer fashion company July Column. The clothing was fashioned using recycled PET bottle fiber that Jeju Samdasoo donated, repurposing pre-existing items from July Column.

On September 4, the runway show will take place at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul's center Jung District.

The fashion company PARTsPARTs will host a unique exhibition at DDP Jandi Sarangbang in Jung District, downtown Seoul, from September 3 to 7. The show is titled "Zero Waste, Fashion and the Sustainability."

By emphasizing its distinctive design pattern, its in-house created material "New Neoprene," and its seamless bonding techniques—all of which are intended to minimize fabric waste—the exhibition will emphasize PARTsPARTs' zero-waste philosophy.

On September 6 and 7, the company will also provide a hands-on opportunity for the general public and schools to make eco-friendly bags utilizing waste fabric from PARTsPARTs' apparel manufacture.

On the brand's official Instagram account, registration is accessible for the interactive event.

According to Choi Pan-kyu, a representative of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, "sustainable fashion is not just a passing trend but a direction that the domestic fashion industry must pursue." "We believe that through exposing people to a range of technologies and real-world instances where sustainability and style coexist, we can significantly alter public perception and policy around environmental preservation and social responsibility."

A biannual fashion event, Seoul Fashion Week features the Spring/Summer (S/S) and Fall/Winter (F/W) collections from different labels. The Seoul Metropolitan Government is in charge of hosting and planning the event.

The 2025 Spring/Summer collections from several labels will be on display during Seoul Fashion Week. The primary venue DDP in Jung District, central Seoul; Seongsu-dong of Seongdong District, eastern Seoul; Cheongdam-dong in southern Seoul; and Hannam-dong in center Seoul are just a few of the locations the event will take place at.
