A storm of style is ready to blow everyone away because New York Fashion Week is quickly approaching. Every season brings with it new and exciting trends as well as it girls, but there are a few tried-and-true staples that never go out of style: scantily clad runways, star-studded front rows, and, like clockwork, Julia Fox as the ultimate NYFW it girl.
Her climb up the style hierarchy has already begun, even if NYFW isn't formally underway for another month. Following many months of low-key events, the Down the Drain author began pre-gaming fashionable and newsworthy outings. Her most recent ensemble included her unique flair of flamboyant inventiveness, as usual.
Fox, who is a fashion force to be reckoned with because of her amazing ability to turn any look into something unexpected, was sighted in New York on Saturday, August 10. Her underwear is Exhibit A.
Daring to venture where few dare (hemline-wise), she wore an ultra-low-rise maxi dress, a Fox favorite from the early aughts, with her tiny crop top (more on that in a sec). The skirt appeared to be your typical print-heavy patchwork-style skirt at first sight. But nothing about what she wears is simple. The whole maxi was constructed from boxer underwear that looked like a waistline totem pole.
