At Seoul Fashion Week, LG introduced a groundbreaking innovation in wearable technology: dresses and accessories featuring its stretchable displays. These advanced screens, which can stretch between 12 to 14 inches and maintain image quality at 100ppi, were incorporated into various fashion items, including dresses, sleeves, and clutches. Designed by Youn-Hee Park and Chung-Chung Lee, these pieces represent LG’s vision of integrating dynamic, stretchable screens into everyday wear.
While LG first showcased this stretchable display technology nearly two years ago, it has not yet brought any products to market. The fashion show served as a proof of concept, illustrating the potential of integrating screens directly into clothing. Although these innovative garments are not yet available for consumers, LG’s display at Seoul Fashion Week demonstrates the exciting possibilities of wearable tech and sets the stage for future advancements in the field.
