Local designers' autumnal creations are teased at Fashion Week San Diego's Spring exhibition

The annual Spring Showcase of Fashion Week San Diego drew dozens of attendees on Saturday night in downtown San Diego at the University Club, located on the 34th floor of the Symphony Towers.

Encircled by stunning city views, this presentation offered a sneak peek at what San Diego-based designers will debut during their fall annual fashion show.

Fashion enthusiasts and designers from previous shows were able to view the new collections, which included menswear, womenswear, sustainably manufactured apparel, and even traditional Kenyan attire.

Local 2024 designers MSTR Stag, GF Fashion House, Vaughnberry, Sarra's Petals, GFash, Insufficientfun, Grisham Manor, Lady Lane, and CW Couture, last year's best designer, were among those showcasing in the exhibition.

Designer Nina Cicolo, who won the show in 2022 after designing a line for the previous year's event, was present at FWSD's fall 2023 display. However, she will be taking a hiatus in 2024.

It brings me great joy to watch other designers. Although I'm not participating in the show this year, it's great to see Fashion Week San Diego expanding. I've been getting to know a ton of different-styled designers. "I aspire for this to become the fashion capital of the United States in the future," Cicolo remarked. /BGNES
