Luxury Unveiled: World's Most Expensive Bag Debuts at Paris Fashion Week

During Rabanne’s Spring/Summer 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week, the world’s most expensive bag, priced at $279,000, was showcased.

The 18-karat gold Nano bag, originally created in 1969 for French singer Françoise Hardy, was honored as part of the ready-to-wear collection. Paco Rabanne, known for avant-garde designs, spent 100 hours crafting the bag alongside jeweler Arthus Bertrand.

Creative director Julien Dossena paired the bag with a shimmery gold mini dress, paying tribute to Hardy, who passed away in June 2024. The bag surpasses even the legendary Hermès Birkin in price, marking it as a historic fashion piece.
