M&S launches Clothing Repair Service

Marks & Spencer is set to launch an innovative alteration and clothing repair service aimed at providing customers with a convenient and sustainable solution for extending the life of their garments. Soon, shoppers will be able to book repair and alteration services through a dedicated online hub. Once the work is completed, the mended items will be mailed back to the customers within seven to ten days, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.

The service will be carried out by Sojo, a dynamic start-up that has gained recognition for its unique approach to clothing repairs. Operating similarly to Deliveroo but focused on garment care, Sojo’s team of skilled in-house tailors will handle the repairs and alterations, with prices starting at an affordable £5.

This new initiative by Marks & Spencer is part of a broader effort to promote sustainable practices among its customers. By making it easier and more affordable to repair and alter clothing, the retailer aims to encourage a shift towards more sustainable consumption patterns.
