A commercial-scale, post-consumer polyester recycling plant, billed as the first of its kind, has begun operations in the UK in a joint venture between textile recycler Project Plan B and the Salvation Army Trading Company (SATCoL).
Known as Project Re:claim, the plant is based at SATCoL's textile processing centre for post-consumer garments that would otherwise go to landfill in Kettering, Northamptonshire. /BGNES
