Poor quality clothes damage the skin

Many patients buy clothes made of poor-quality fabrics that cause serious allergic reactions.
Nickel, cobalt and chromium are the most common allergens to which the Bulgarian patient is allergic.
This was stated in an interview with BGNES by Dr. Denitsa Zheleva, a dermatologist at Polyclinica Bulgaria.

"The problem at the moment is that many patients, due to financial impossibility or having gone through a cheap store, buy clothes and fabrics that are made of poor quality fabrics. Most often, we observe an allergy that develops as a result of the contact of the fabric with the skin, which are colored in textile dyes and cause irritating or allergic reactions," said the doctor.

She specified that according to the intensity of the complaints, she considers what to add in which patient. "The recommendation in general is to be careful, to consider what the season is, how we dress, to be careful when choosing washing products, because they are very important in our daily life. Frequent wetting of the body and frequent hand washing dry out the skin," advises the dermatologist, before calling for the use of cleansing oils, as they form a protective film on the skin even while we are in the bathroom.

"Regarding moisturizing creams, it is preferable to use oilier products in the autumn-winter period and when the skin is drier. The lighter textures, such as creams and milk, are for the cool seasons, for the spring, for the summer, when we don't want our skin to stick," noted Dr. Denitsa Zheleva. /BGNES
