Ray Cornelius chats with sustainable fashion experts about everything fashion

The "Fast Fashion" sector uses the second most water and contributes roughly 10% of the world's carbon emissions, which is more than all international travel and maritime transportation put together, according to the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).

Only a few of the several facts covered in this week's UPFRONT/Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry episode were this one, reported WCLK.

Along with a distinguished panel of German fashion experts, host Ray Cornelius discussed these unsettling figures with Tanjuria Willis, the organizer of Sustainable Fashion Week Atlanta:

Uwe Westphal, the writer of "Fashion Metropolis Berlin: The Story of the Rise and Destruction of the Jewish Fashion Industry."

Marte Henschel is a professor of sustainable fashion at BSP Berlin, Germany. She is also co-founder of Sqetch, Berlin, Germany, and co-CEO of VORN, The Berlin Fashion Hub.

Fashion journalist, coach, and co-curator of the exhibition "Why Fashion Needs to Empower" is Philippe Pourhashemi.

Berlin-based fashion photographer Axl Jansen is a co-curator of the exhibition "Why Fashion Needs to Empower."

Listen to the entire UPFRONT discussion as they address the need for greater diversity, equity, and inclusion both on and off the catwalk, fashion after COVID-19, AI, and the applicability of "Fashion Weeks."
