Seamm Launches the Solana Blockchain Fashion Digital Product Passport (DPP)

With the launch of the Fashion Digital Product Passport (DPP) on the Solana blockchain at the Fashion Stage of NFC Lisbon, SEAMM.io, the first fully phygital (physical + digital) fashion marketplace, is transforming the fashion industry. With SEAMM's launch, the Solana ecosystem now includes the digital fashion space.

The first-of-its-kind Phygital Fashion platform, SEAMM provides a distinctive fusion of digital and physical experiences for brands and customers alike. Customers can purchase tangible goods using their digital twins on SEAMM's B2C marketplace. SEAMM has developed a white-label SaaS solution to differentiate themselves from competitors and position themselves as digital leaders.

A key component of SEAMM's value proposition is the creation of digital twins from physical products. Customers can then interact with these digital twins through augmented reality (AR) try-on technology, and they can be easily incorporated into games on different platforms. Additionally, this enables customers to get variations of their items in terms of color and pattern.

Since its launch at the Digital Couture Summit during Milan Fashion Week at Fall Winter '24/25 in February, when the first fully phygital fashion marketplace made its debut, SEAMM has made a name for itself as a conduit between up-and-coming designers and well-known brands in both web2 and web3 spaces.

Solana is a logical choice for SEAMM's cutting-edge fashion solutions because of its reputation for speed, scalability, and worldwide distribution. Solana is the most scalable blockchain, processing 3000 transactions per minute, and has a vibrant community. According to The Block, since the beginning of March, the Solana network has generated over 70 million new addresses. The scalability of Solana blockchain makes it the perfect platform on which SEAMM can develop its marketplace and Digital Product Passport Solution. SEAMM's choice to utilize Solana's infrastructure is indicative of its dedication to openness, effectiveness, and flexibility, especially in light of the impending EU regulations regarding digital passports.
