Stella McCartney, the founder of Stella McCartney Fashion House, has urged global designers to sign PETA's new "Feather-Free" commitment, pledging never to use feathers in their creations ever again, reported Ecotextile News.
In response to PETA exposés that show birds used for feather trade suffer from what the organization refers to as “a miserable life and a violent death,” McCartney is spotlighting the suffering in a new social media campaign that also calls on designers to use vegan materials to mimic the appearance, feel, movement, and insulation of feathers.
