Sustainable Style: Design Museum Looks to the Future in Latest Fashion Exhibition

The Design Museum in London has launched a new exhibition, "Tomorrow’s Wardrobe," which coincides with London Fashion Week and the London Design Festival. Running until August 2025, the exhibition celebrates and promotes a sustainable future for fashion. It showcases innovative textiles, technologies, and garments that aim to reduce the industry's environmental and social impact. Featured pieces include an upcycled polo shirt by Ahluwalia and a bag created in collaboration with Stella McCartney.

The exhibition is divided into two main sections: one highlighting the scale of the industry's environmental problems, and the other focusing on solutions in three areas—Textile Landscapes, In the Studio, and Your Wardrobe. Visitors can explore topics ranging from fabric production to the evolving relationship between consumers and clothing in the context of the climate crisis. Curator George Kafka emphasizes that change requires collaboration across the entire fashion industry, from farmers to consumers, to create a more eco-conscious future.
