A fashion show with a difference.
Belfast is hosting an event with Tools for Solidarity to mark Sustainable Fashion Week, supporting the global movement towards ethical fashion.
Using 2 Royal Avenue as their runway, community groups from across Belfast have been sewing together second-hand style. Worn by local people, discover timeless clothes within creative collections at this free Friday evening show.
Formed from donated fabrics and clothes that deserve a second chance, items have been lovingly crafted into looks for the four seasons. Textiles rescued from Oxfam Shops ‘Ragbag’ and the Tools for Solidary ‘Scrap Stash’ will lead the way to a Sustainable Style Show.
For the finale, fashion interns will be showing their creativity with 12 kilograms of fabric that has been diverted from landfill.
