This Indian-origin designer created a revealing crop top and skirt pair that Kylie Jenner recently wore

Depending on the situation, Kylie Jenner's fashion alternates between sensual and boxy designs. Jenner recently donned a sheer lilac crop top and skirt from British-Indian designer Supriya Lele's Spring/Summer 24 collection, which was displayed at London Fashion Week, to promote a new product for Kylie Cosmetics. Lele is a British designer whose parents were immigrants from India, reported Vogue India.

Although Lele's work frequently alludes to her history as a woman of color and her British-Indian ancestry, her Spring/Summer 24 collection was motivated by her own recollections of her childhood spent in India over the holidays, witnessing the elders in her family dressed in saris, the lilac hues of her friends' lipsticks, and the green eyeshadows.

Her collection began with her attempt to decolonize the sari by doing away with the blouse that is often worn with it and creating a hyperfeminine new identity through the use of Noughties aesthetics. The collection included leather coats manufactured from Bentley Motors offcuts to keep the Lele girls warm in the London cold, as well as sheer skirts and two-piece sets that were a deconstructed interpretation of sari drapes.

Celebrities such as Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa are frequent wearers of Supriya Lele's creations, and Kylie is the newest addition to the Supriya Lele club. Her fan base is steadily increasing. It's important to note the designer's ascent from her position as a finalist for the 2020 LVMH Prize to that of a celebrity favorite.

Kylie Jenner, on the other hand, has been going all out for the beach girl look this summer, as seen by her latest selection of flowy, almost sheer gowns. Khy recently launched her clothing line, Khy's current collection, which includes apparel with an aesthetic reminiscent of Supriya Lele. Another photo on Khy's Instagram has her posing in a wet dress in the sea. Her seaside bikini photos are a summertime staple, but her Supriya Lele ensemble is becoming a must-have for every summertime getaway./BGNES
