When Katy Perry performs astounding aerial maneuvers during the Rock in Rio Festival in Brazil, she dazzles in a futuristic latex bodysuit

Katy Perry made a statement as she performed jaw-dropping aerial maneuvers when she took to the stage during the Rock in Rio Festival in Brazil on Friday, reported Mail Online.

The 39-year-old singer of Dark Horse, who recently celebrated the publication of her new album 143, sang along to several favorites for the audience, including Firework and The One That Got Away.

The mother-of-one dazzled in a latex bodysuit with silver and chrome accents that hugged her toned figure in the color of nude.

Perry put on a pair of white shoes that covered her toes and let her dark hair fall past her shoulders in soft waves.

During the show, Katy was once propelled into the air over the applauding crowd by a number of rope-like objects that appeared to shine in the stage lights.

The ropes were attached to a belt that encircled her lower waist and was covered in layers of silvery, shimmering material.

Katy grinned broadly and raised her arms in the air as she was hoisted above the stage.

She was briefly in front of a dark screen, and smoke from a machine could be seen swirling around her to create a dramatic effect.

Perry was then spotted pulling off another audacious prank in which she moved horizontally in front of a dazzling circle light in the background.

Once again, the singer was accompanied on the large platform by backup dancers who wore silver ensembles and collaborated with Katy on choreography.

She wore thick lashes and a smokey, light purple shadow across her eyes as part of her festival makeup look.

For a beautiful glow, she went for a bright pink blush and highlighter, and for a last touch, she used a pink lip tint.

Beginning her performance, Perry sang hits like Teenage Dream, California Gurls, and Woman's World, which can be heard on her album 143.

She then invited an unexpected visitor to the stage to accompany her, and the two of them sang an acoustic rendition of Time After Time with Cyndi Lauper.

A fortunate fan also got the opportunity to join Perry on stage, where she showed them how to perform the Swish Swish dance in front of the audience.

Additionally, Katy played an acoustic rendition of The One That Got Away, a song from 2010. The song was originally performed by the celebrity at the 2011 Rock in Rio festival.

She famously broke down in tears on stage during her last performance because she had just received a text from her ex-husband, Russell Brand, stating that he wanted a divorce.

Later on, Perry demonstrated her musical abilities even more when she performed on Hot N Cold with an electric guitar.

The singer left the stage to interact more with the Cidade do Rock audience while performing Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F).

The award-winning singer sang Firework's lyrics to end the performance.

During the show, Katy also delivered a heartfelt shout-out to Orlando Bloom and their four-year-old daughter, Daisy.
