With a bold slogan t-shirt, Rihanna recently declared her retirement

The fact that Rihanna hasn't put out a record since Anti in 2016 has kind of turned into a meme. The Bajan businesswoman is frequently asked about her music career by zealous journalists at sneaker events and lipgloss activations, but she skillfully responds to them all. She'll teasingly ask, "Who sent you?!" and move on to the next topic of conversation before everyone notices. Thus, it should come as no surprise that the star's older songs, "Umbrella" and "Stay," have recently earned Diamond certifications, as fans obsessively listen to her back catalog instead of any new releases, reported Dazed.

However, the quiet singer has now declared that she is genuinely over your inquiries, and what better way to make that declaration than with a brazen demand for a slogan t-shirt. Just a few hours after announcing her latest endeavor, "I'm retired," on her breast, Rihanna made an appearance in New York City. Welcome to the club, Fenty Hair. Fans were inconsolable over the t-shirt dress, an upcycled piece from Conner Ives' SS24 collection, with many lamenting that they would "never get the album." The fit, which featured Ives himself tipping his cap to Rih's troll moment, was a lesson in straightforward but successful fashion communication, much like Britney's "Dump Him" baby tee before her. He winked and commented, "Always sending messages," next to the paparazzi photo on Instagram. | BGNES
