Worldwide campaigns to transition to a circular economy

Mitigating and addressing the impacts of climate change has been emphasized by the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), an important forum for monitoring climate change movements. The Paris Agreement's objective of keeping the rise in global temperature below 2 degrees Celsius relative to pre-industrial levels and aiming to keep it below 1.5 degrees Celsius over the long term is the focus of efforts made at all levels. This involves creating a fund to make up for losses and damages brought on by catastrophes linked to climate change and increased global warming.
To encourage the circular economy in the European market, the European Commission introduced the Digital Product Passport in the beginning of 2022. Important details regarding product components will be made available by the DPP, increasing the likelihood of appropriate reuse or recycling. The EU's goal of having net-zero carbon emissions by the middle of the century is largely dependent on this initiative.
This global initiative brings together businesses that have made the commitment to run their operations entirely on renewable energy. Participating companies commit to obtaining their electricity from sustainable resources like wind, hydro, and solar energy. Being a part of RE100 demonstrates leadership in advancing national energy policies toward carbon neutrality, which aims to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050.
