Wrangler collaborates on sustainable fashion projects with Texas Playboys, Beyond Retro, and Accelerating Circularity

Notably, Wrangler and Beyond Retro, a pioneer of vintage and circular design in Europe, will collaborate on a second Wrangler Reborn Collection installment. The line eliminates the need to produce new materials by using waste denim fabric to revitalize classic Wrangler garments, reported Fashion Network.

Wrangler has partnered with Accelerating Circularity, a non-profit organization that specializes in textile-to-textile recycling technologies, in addition to Beyond Retro. Wrangler and a select set of brands will collaborate to create a new 5-pocket jean type made of repurposed denim that will only be sold on Walmart.com.

Additionally, Wrangler is reuniting with the Texas Playboys Baseball Club, an Austin-based sandlot baseball team renowned for its involvement in the community, to construct a special shade structure that will shield players and spectators from the sun. The structure will be fashioned from recycled scrap denim and cardboard tubes.

According to Vivian Rivetti, vice president of global design at Wrangler, "We at Wrangler have been committed to taking the reins on sustainability throughout our 77-year heritage, especially through our dedication to durability and longevity, as denim lovers can wear their Wranglers for years on end."

"Collaborating closely with entities such as Beyond Retro, Accelerating Circularity, and the Texas Playboys allows us to highlight the possibilities of upcycling in the fashion sector. Our goal is to build a brighter future through meaningful relationships and intentional design practices, not just on Earth Day but every day./BGNES
