Nilüfer Günay, a fashion and design teacher from Zonguldak, won second prize at the 2024 EU Green Skills Awards for her project "Always New," which tackles the environmental impact of the fashion industry. Inspired by the staggering water usage in cotton production, her project aligns with the EU's 2023 strategy for sustainable and circular textiles. Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut praised her achievement, noting its significance for sustainable fashion in both Türkiye and the EU.
