At Vetements, Gigi Hadid Updates And Recreates Kim Kardashian's Taped-Up Look

With her most recent Paris Fashion Week ensemble, Gigi Hadid has once again left us speechless.

The model wore a yellow strapless minidress with a DHL packing tape design on Friday night's Vetements SS25 runway show. It was similar to Kim Kardashian's Balenciaga AW22 ensemble, which Lizzo also wore to PFW for the brand's show at the Le Bourget exhibition center that year. Kim Kardashian also wore the same ensemble on her 2022 ELLE UK cover, reported ELLE.

Hadid accessorized her grown-out, textured blonde bob with DHL taped-up pointed-toe heels for the SS25 look. At the star-studded event, which Ice Spice, Bella Thorne, Normani, and Tom Daly were among the attendees, she strolled alongside musicians Travis Scott and J Balvin.

Kardashian wore leggings and a sports top with packing tape bearing the Balenciaga name covering her hands. She accessorized the unconventional ensemble with the brand's iconic Hourglass purse, which was similarly taped in black and yellow.

The relationship between DHL and Vetements' co-founders, the Gvasalia brothers (Demna and Guram), began at the brand's SS16 runway show, when Russian streetwear designer Gosha Rubchinskiy wore cropped leather pants and a baggy yellow T-shirt bearing the postal service's logo.

Demna took a similar sense of humor to the runway when he departed the brand in 2019 to create Balenciaga, blending high and low with a bracelet that looked like a roll of Sellotape.

Hadid returned "Atonement green" to the runway a few hours after the Vetements show, wearing a midi dress that will surely go down as one of the most memorable of the season.
