GFA’s New Keys for Sustainable Fashion

In celebration of its 15th anniversary, Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) has launched a special edition of the Fashion CEO Agenda, designed to guide fashion leaders towards achieving a net positive industry by 2050. Aligning with the 2024 theme, "Unlocking the Next Level," the report outlines five crucial opportunities: operationalizing sustainability, redefining growth, activating consumers, prioritizing people, and mobilizing based on materiality.

Since the first Global Fashion Summit in 2009, sustainability has moved to the forefront of the fashion industry. Despite advancements, the urgent threats of global warming and increased clothing production demand collective action. The 2024 Fashion CEO Agenda emphasizes comprehensive, system-wide solutions to propel the industry forward.

Federica Marchionni, CEO of GFA, stresses the need for leaders to adopt a values-based approach that prioritizes the planet and people's well-being. The report encourages collaboration, empathy, and innovative thinking to foster positive social and environmental outcomes.

Through its initiatives, GFA continues to inspire industry leaders by sharing best practices and practical tools, urging stakeholders to build on these foundations for transformative change. As Marchionni highlights, this edition aims to help leaders future-proof their businesses while delivering financial returns and positive impacts on the world. /BGNES
