In Barcelona, Louis Vuitton debuts its newest Cruise line

For a brief period on May 23, Louis Vuitton elevated Barcelona to the status of the world's fashion hub by showcasing its new Cruise 2025 collection. This move was a nod to the renowned fashion house's historical commitment to the "art of travelling" and its celebration of Spain. The proposal effectively erased any trace of trivial controversy.

After it was announced that the Cruise presentation would take place at Louis Vuitton's Barcelona location, excitement has been building due to a growing curiosity about the contents of the highly anticipated collection and fashion show. Numerous well-known individuals from both inside and outside of Spain were curious about this latest Louis Vuitton collection, so they didn't hesitate to try and satisfy their curiosity by arriving in the city and seeing all of its unique features.

The equally famous French designer Nicolas Ghesquière created the women's collection. As creative director of Louis Vuitton's womenswear since November 2013, he introduced the brand to Barcelona's historic Park Güell, which was created by Antonio Gaudí in 1914 and recognized by Unesco as a World Heritage Site in 1984 after being named an Asset of Cultural Interest and Historical Heritage of Spain in 1969, reported Fashion United.

Following the same modernist aesthetic of flowing, organic lines that defines this Gaudí creation, famed American stage designer James Chinlund intervened inside the hypostyle hall of the Barcelona gardens to create the white benches that not only completed the models' path along this makeshift catwalk but also provided seating for every guest attending the presentation. These featured well-known figures including American actress Jennifer Connelly, Cuban-Spanish actress Ana de Armas, British actress and singer Cynthia Erivo, and British actress Sophie Turner, all of whom were in keeping with the guest list's international bent./BGNES
