Kerry Youth Are Pressed To Participate In The Relove Fashion Show

Kerry's youth are urged to sign up for the Relove Fashion Competition.

Through the design and creation of their own sustainable ensembles, teenagers have the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity and love for sustainable fashion in this competition, reported Tralee Today.

Relove Fashion Competition participants will have the chance to explore the realm of sustainable fashion and acquire vital skills like upcycling, reusing, changing, and repair.

Participants in the competition are required to apply their artistic design abilities to transform used clothes and materials into a wearable, sustainable ensemble.

The textiles may be from charity shops, exchange events, friends' or family's donations, or discarded pieces from their own clothing.

Beautiful creations made from bed linens, curtains, cushions, shirts, ties, and even Santa hats have been the subject of previous winning designs.

"I am thrilled to launch this exciting new step for the Relove Fashion Competition," stated Lorraine Keane, founder of Fashion Relief, businesswoman, and television presenter, during the Relove Fashion Competition 2024 premiere. It's amazing to watch it develop from a regional competition to a national tournament as I have been a judge since the beginning. This implies that pupils in the Republic of Ireland's secondary schools are eligible to compete. I am eager to witness this year's pupils' inventiveness and inventiveness.

Young people in participating Local Authorities around the Republic of Ireland, including Kerry County Council, are eligible to enter the competition.
