The most stylish celebrities in the business are consistently cast as the faces of Miu Miu's advertisements, and this one was no exception. Its 2024 bag ad was inspired by Gigi Hadid. World-famous photographer Steven Meisel took the pictures, which the press release called "an ode to color, to femininity, and to fashion."
A statement claims that British interwar photographer Yevonde served as the campaign's inspiration. "Yevonde's work from the 1930s is groundbreaking because of the way he uses color—gently, subtly, and thoughtfully—to create surreal, flawless arrangements of models and members of high society set against fantastical backdrops of bizarre foliage, draperies, and props." Using images of Hadid that had “saturated hues set against porcelain-delicate dégradé pastels, yet with the spontaneous spirit of now,” Miu Miu paid homage to Yevonde's signature style. /BGNES
