When it came to answering claims that she had been bleaching her complexion, Cardi B did not hold back.
Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, better known as the rapper Bodak Yellow, did not hold back in her response to a user on social networking site X on Wednesday. The person had uploaded a recent photo of her and inquired as to whether or not she had "been bleaching her skin."
Bleaching when expecting a baby? Why are all of you so stupid? Cardi fired back.
The irate rapper continued by saying that her anemia—a low level of red blood cells caused by an iron deficiency—is the reason her skin tone seems somewhat different. Per the Mayo Clinic, mild anemia during pregnancy is not uncommon.
"I'm pregnant and a little anemic. This baby is sucking all the energy out of my body, leaving me pale, with sunken eyes and green veins. I can't tan in the sun because I get hot and dizzy easily," she said in her explanation.
"PLEAE STOP THINKIN WITH YOUR A**HOLE!" the soon-to-be mother-of-three continued, making sure the message was understood well.
