The topic of well-being is applicable to absolutely every sphere of business and my firm personal belief is that if someone has chosen the fashion business, for example, as their role - great. If it is in sync with our personal aptitudes, gifts and talents, with what fate and life have awarded us in this world, then those who have chosen this profession will be happy.

This was stated in an interview for BGNES by Prof. Dr. Daniela Ilieva, executive director of the "Law and Internet" Foundation, which participated in the "Business Lady Excellence 2024" event, which this year is being held under the motto "Building prospects - creating a future".

Prof. Ilieva and I talk about modern leadership through the lens of well-being - the lecture she presented to the audience at the event, as well as about the circular economy, sustainable fashion and business.

Prof. Ilieva has a whole book dedicated to the topic of human well-being, about how to manage our personal development successfully, so that we achieve well-being in all areas of life, and this is exactly what she emphasized during the lecture that she gave more early today.

According to her, the modern leader takes on many roles, especially the female leader – mother, housewife, wife, leader, manager. "And all these are roles that, however, are sometimes too much turned outward and we all forget to look inward - how we feel," she pointed out.

The expert in business process management and business communications hopes that the questions he posed to the audience will resonate and reverberate over time and make people think more deeply about the topic of female leader wellbeing: "Who am I, but not who I am just as a role and as what I embody in my business and personal life, but who I am in my deepest essence. how much am i How well am I living up to my own values and understanding of life? When am I, but not just when I am and where I am in time and space, but rather when are my peak hours?"

The topic of well-being is applicable to absolutely every sphere of business, and Prof. Ilieva's categorical personal conviction is that if someone has chosen the fashion business, for example, as their job, then that is great. "If it is in sync with our personal aptitudes, gifts and talents, with what fate and life have awarded us in this world, then those who choose this profession will be happy," she said.

The expert emphasized that we should not immerse ourselves only in the work processes of this creative work, but putting ourselves first and the thought of achieving well-being, balancing all areas of life, and not making it the only focus.

Prof. Ilieva also commented on the topic related to ethical fashion and business, as well as the role of the circular economy. According to her, when we get to know ourselves well, build our own style and personal image, then it becomes very easy, because we don't wander between different fashion trends, we don't wander between different styles.

"The topic of the circular economy concerns us all, because we see that the earth is being depleted. Everything is depleted, resources are depleted, and to be able to use in a circular way everything that we use as resources is, of course, wonderful," she thinks.

Prof. Ilieva congratulated all the young designers. "I keep reading about incredible initiatives in Bulgaria, where young designers, young people, dedicated to the subject of not only fashion, but sustainable fashion, fashion in line with the circular economy, are doing wonders. As a woman, a lady, a Bulgarian, I am proud of these national successes of ours", she shared.

Prof. Ilieva herself also told what her personal fashion preferences are. "I really like color palettes that are monocolor. But again, in the years of self-study, self-knowledge, I think I have found, but I still continue to search and find the most correct recipe for the things that suit me, the things that look good on me, the things that I feel good about and I feel in my best shape," she said.

In conclusion, the executive director of the "Law and Internet" Foundation made an appeal to all readers and viewers of the BGNES Agency: "Everyone should bet on knowing themselves in the best possible way. This is the best investment, regardless of what we will do - will we show ourselves as businesswomen, will we do things that we like and satisfy us, or will we be in the role of mothers, housewives and everything that a woman can be."/BGNES
