The 26-year-old actress thinks that expressing herself in various ways might help her communicate her identity and her feelings at any given time.
Sydney said in an interview with PEOPLE that "wearing fashion is a really wonderful way to embrace different aspects of yourself.
"There are days when I feel edgy and days when I feel really girlie. I could feel like I want to be more relaxed with others.
"It's a way of being able to express those different sides of how I feel or who I am."
Sydney, whose career has taken off in the last several years, said she can't see herself "being one thing for the rest of [her] life".
It will always change, she declared. Being able to accept all the many facets of ourselves is what makes being a woman so beautiful, since we are so complex and have so much going on.
"I can never imagine being one thing for the rest of my life."
Sydney has seen tremendous success recently, and she has previously acknowledged being a "workaholic" in her confession.
