This summer, Dakota Johnson's airy yellow sundress is everything

We only need Dakota Johnson's most recent ensemble for summertime inspiration. While filming in New York City this past weekend, the actress looked stunning in a flowing yellow sundress from Dôen, perfectly capturing the essence of city summer attire, reported Harpets Bazaar.

Johnson was spotted while filming The Materialists, an upcoming romantic comedy. Her buttery yellow suit had an airy skirt and ruffled collar, and it was constructed of a semi-sheer silk fabric. The maxi dress had a delicate floral motif in shades of yellow, orange, and purple.

Black Nike Cortez sneakers and black cat-eye sunglasses completed the look Johnson (or rather, her on-set stylist) chose for the frock. Her flowing appearance was completed with a straightforward twisted updo that featured the actor's characteristic bangs.

Following Past Lives, Celine Song's first feature from the previous year, is The Materialists. Filming for the movie, which supposedly stars Pedro Pascal, Chris Evans, and Johnson in a love triangle, has been going on in New York for a few weeks, and it's already looking like a masterclass in sophisticated New York fashion.

Johnson flaunted a gorgeous cobalt blue strapless dress last week while kissing another co-star, Evans, on set. A month prior, she was spotted wearing an opulent leather jacket while kissing Pascal on work. Taking everything into account, The Materialists looks like a hot film. The story, which is set in New York City, centers on a matchmaker whose "lucrative business gets complicated when she falls into a toxic love triangle that threatens her clients." The matchmaker appears to be quite trendy.

However, not every outfit that Johnson pulls off for a moodboard is captured on camera. The star casually tied a scarlet jumper over her neck when she pulled up to her trailer on Friday. She was wearing burgundy wide-leg pants and a cropped white t-shirt. Her black oval sunglasses, teal sneakers, and navy Mets baseball cap completed the ensemble. | BGNES
