West Cumbria will host a clothes swap as part of Sustainable Fashion Week

Young adults are the target audience for the sustainability event, which encourages them to think about reusing old clothing instead of purchasing new, reported News & Star.

This event is scheduled for Friday, September 27, as part of Sustainability Fashion Week.

Cumberland Council shared on social media: "During Sustainable Fashion Week, join our clothes swap to find something new for yourself instead of buying new this September.

"A few very gifted volunteers will also be available to assist with modifications so that the wonderful, pre-owned products can be utilized to the fullest.

"The Clothes Swap, which is open to young adults 16 to 25 years old, will take place at the Family Hub on the Harbour in Whitehaven on Friday, September 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. Please drop off any last-minute donations you may have at the hub."
